SUP yoga teacher training in Hawaii

Interested in becoming a certified SUP yoga instructor? Join us for our Paddle Into Fitness teacher training! This course will equip you with the knowledge you need to safely lead a beginner stand-up paddle board lesson, a SUP yoga class, and SUP fitness classes.

The course is divided into three modules:

  • Module 1: Stand-up paddling
    • The first two days we teach you how to efficiently lead a basic beginner SUP lesson. We cover the history of SUP, important safety considerations, equipment, basic and intermediate stroke technique, and turns.
  • Module 2: SUP yoga
    • In the second module (days 3 and 4), we teach you how to lead an effective SUP yoga class. We will discuss the many factors and considerations of leading a yoga class on the water. We will share with you two SUP yoga flows – a beginner and an advanced class. There will be plenty of time to practice teaching one another!
  • Module 3: SUP fitness
    • The third module (days 5 and 6) is dedicated to SUP fitness. We will discuss more advanced SUP techniques and fitness challenges on the water. We will teach you how to create a well-balanced workout on the water.

You may choose to participate in 1, 2 or all 3 modules, but if you are interested in only part of the training, please note that module 1 is mandatory.

Cost: $500 per module. Total for all three modules (SUP/yoga/fitness): $1,500 which INCLUDES Level 1 WPA Certification ($300 value), 30-hour WPA Paddleboard & SUP Fitness program, Paddle Into Fitness Level 1 & 2 SUP, 25 hours of Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Credits, and 2.6 ACE (American Council on Exercise) credentials.

Snacks and drinks are provided. There is an additional $30 WPA registration fee if you wish to be listed on the WPA website.
